アメリカ人プロデューサーAnna TurnerとStephen Hillによって、23時から2時までの3時間の番組として、1973年にスタートしたウィークリーラジオプログラム「Music from the Hearts of Space」で紹介した音楽をまとめた一冊。ニューエイジやアンビエント、スピリチュアル、サイケデリックなどの方面でまとまったミュージックガイド本です。オリジナルは1981年に出版され、その後2019年にサンフランシスコ拠点のパブリッシャー<Colpa Press>と<Amaya Productions>の共同出版でリプリントされ、長らく完売状態でしたが、2025年に再度リプリント!
